Fishing out of Glen Arbor has really
been picking up!! Large silver Kings, and plenty of Lake Trout.
The Kings we caught
on glow spoons, and King Fisher fly combinations, trolling 60 to 100
ft down, over 110 to 140 foot of water.
Fishing for Lake Trout is fantastic.
Cowbells are working well, 50 ft down on the bank.
We boated 5 large Kings up to 18 lbs and
finished out 10 fish limit with Lake Trout. We did boat one nice 8 lb
Brown Trout this morning.
We have plenty of bait fish and hopefully
the Kings will spend the rest of the fishing season in Glen Arbor Bay
and the Manitou Islands.
Good fishing

P.S. Sue helped me fix the date on my camera.
The date is incorrect in the picture and should be 5/23/2009. By
the way, here is a picture of a squirrel asleep in the tree in our
backyard. I couldn't pass this up!

Friends, The Watta Bite Charter
Fishing Reports are written by me, Captain Bill. They
are all accounts of my fishing experiences. I will not
use information from other fishermen. I have to know
what's going on before I write, that way you, the customer or
potential customer, have facts to work with when choosing a
charter. -- Captain Bill |
